So last week I did Sprinkle Of Glitter's 7 Things For 7 Days challenge. I'm afraid I wasn't able to write about my progress during the week but I was too busy trying to do the goals I'd set to write about them - sorry about that.
Anyways, one week on - let's see how I did:
Homework: Success! The 'Big Biology Project' is a page away from being finished.
Cook: Not as successful. I did cook dinner on Wednesday but that's about it.
Plan: Not really successful. Still need some thinking time on this one.
Yoga: Success! I joined in with a yoga programme for 30 minutes and felt all the better for it.
Friends: Another success! I met up with a friend and watched The Dark Knight Rises which, by the way, was AMAZING and completely worth watching. Even if it's only to see Christian Bale (nudge nudge, wink wink).
Blog: A little success. I've thought of a few ideas but am yet to write them into posts.
Read: BIG success! I've finished two books and am halfway through the third.
Overall I would say that it was pretty successful!
Are you a list-maker or a target-setter?

7 Things For 7 Days

This week I really need to get cracking with some work, organise my time and get motivated. So I thought I'd jump on Sprinkle of Glitter's bandwagon and join in with 7 Things For 7 Days which involves making a list of seven things you hope to achieve in a week and see how you do. So here goes!
My goals for this week:
Homework: Time is ticking faster than Usain Bolt can sprint and the mounatin of work I have to do remains well, mountainous. So this week I want to tackle the 'Big Biology Project' that I've been trying (and failing) to avoid.
Cook: I'd like to try and experiment a bit in the kitchen this week and hopefully rustle up a couple of healthy treats.
Plan: My birthday is coming up (VERY excited) in a couple of months and I need to decide what I'd like to do.
Yoga: For a bit of me-time.
Friends: I really want to spend some good quality time with my friends before September (when my social life becomes practically non-existant)
Blog: Write up my ideas for posts.
Read: Find and read the books I've been trying to find the time to read for a very looong time.
I'll do another post in the middle of the week to update you on my progress - hopefully there will be some (fingers firmly crossed)
Are you taking part in 7 Things For 7 Days?

Striped Shorts
It's a miracle! At long last the sun has popped out from between the clouds and graced us with gloriously warm weather. Finally I can bring my shorts out from the depths of my wardrobe and wear them out and about (yes!!). This season I am in love with striped shorts. I find they are a great way to make an outfit that bit more interesting and can be easily teamed with clothes you already own. Result!
Some of my favourite striped shorts are:

Motel Rocks - £32

Miss Selfridge - Was £30 Now £20

Topshop - £32
Are you a fan of striped shorts? Or do they make your eyes go a bit funny?

Hello Bloggersphere!
Hello to you all!
I’m Lisa; a 15 year old with an unhealthy passion for fashion and beauty. With the arrival of summer (finally!) and the school gates closed for another two months I thought it was time for me to try something new. So here I am! I have created A Swish of Silk to share my take on the fashion world including the newest trends, to-die-for statement pieces and my outfit of the day, with a few snippets about my life here and there.

Well, that’s the mission statement sorted! Thanks for
reading this post and I hope you read the next one and the one after that and the one after that...and so on. Please feel free to leave
comments, I'd love to hear what you think and I’ll do my best to reply as soon as I can.
Is there anything you would like to see on this blog?
